This Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream is supplied in a large, 92g tube and is a high quality continence aid which helps to prevent skin irritation caused by bodily fluids.Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream is an effective barrier against irritation from body fluids such as urine and faeces and prevents skin damage associated with incontinence - it is proven to reduce incontinence dermatitis. Check the label for directions about any areas or types of skin where you should not apply the product (such as on the face, any areas of broken/chapped/cut/irritated/scraped skin, or on a recently shaved area of the skin). Emollients/moisturizers work by forming an oily layer on the top of the skin that traps water in the skin. Cavilon™ Durable Barrier Cream provides unique, long-lasting protection from bodily fluids whilst moisturising the skin.

Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream can be used in conjunction with moisture retentive adhesive dressings that promote healing, such as transparent film and hydrocolloids and enables tapes and dressings to stick to the skin. Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream provides unique, long-lasting protection from bodily fluids whilst moisturising the skin. A little amount of cream goes a long way and the formula resists washing which makes it economic and saves time. Gentle and effective, this Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream can be used to reduce the likelihood of developing conditions such as incontinence associated dermatitis.Each Cavilon Foam film applicator is supplied in its own sterile sealed pouch, there are 5 applicators in each box. In some cases, the cream may actually increase the adhesion properties of a dressing or a pad, so apply with caution if your skin is very fragile.
